The To- Do list is never ending. The kids need so

The To- Do list is never ending.

The kids need something.

The house is a mess.

And that’s not including all the other things that need attention.

We can feel overwhelmed and insufficient in no time.

And those feelings aren’t fun.

We miss out on what truly matters because we are focused on what needs our attention now.

How many times does this happen to you?

It happens to me often.

I get wrapped up in things that won’t really be remembered 5 years from now.

Martha was the same way. She was wrapped up in what she needed to do instead of Who could fill her.

When God fills us after we have spent time with Him, we seem to get our priorities straight and we have this strength that can’t be explained.

Have you felt this before?

(Luke 10:41-42, NLT).
41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! 42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

The secret is getting with the Lord!

On days when I begin with the Lord, the day just goes better. I am able to deal with things in a different way than when I am wrapped up in the chaos.

I get it, we are busy. But there are ways to find 2 minutes or 5 minutes to get in His presence.

If you are inconsistent, pull up a chair!🙌🙌🙌

Maybe you try and choose health and some days you get it right and some days you don’t!

Can I be your friend? Cuz that’s me too!

I don’t always drink 1/2 my weight of water in ounces.
My supplements remain in the cabinet.
I didn’t do any weight resistance even though I told myself I had to.

Here’s what I want to tell you…. Some days you rock and other days you just are human.🤣

Try your best and hopefully more days than not, you choose health.

If you choose health most days, you’re doing better than the majority of the population!

Do you wish you were more patient or loving or kind?

Maybe you’d love to be more passionate or engaging?

The story of the caterpillar being transformed into a butterfly has always intrigued me.

The caterpillar within the chrysalis trusts the process of the Creator. Through the transformation emerges a butterfly.

But first, the caterpillar’s body needs to be broken down and then completely remade.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not who I was 10 years ago.

A lot of things have happened which have broken me.

Some of the hardest seasons (which I disliked very much) have broken down parts of me.

These parts aren’t there anymore, instead I have been changed.

While I don’t want to repeat those seasons, I am thankful that God has walked through them with me and has transformed me.

Here’s what I want us to grasp hold of: hard seasons will come, but they aren’t wasted.

God uses everything to make us more like Him. (And I want to be more like Jesus!)

Like the caterpillar, we have to trust the process of the Creator.

All the refining, breaking down, and remaking causes something more beautiful than it was before.

A changed person with a testimony to share!

God is for you and with you!

This is your testimony and no one can take that away!

Zaps energy.
Makes you irritable.
Increases anxious thoughts.

Do you like who you are when you haven’t been sleeping 🐲

I get you! I was sleeping two hours on a good night.

I didn’t even like myself so…🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Maybe you’ve told yourself that if you could just get a few more hours, you’d be fine.

And every night you don’t sleep.

Imagine how much better you would feel and the energy you’d have if you started sleeping better.

Perhaps your relationships would get better. You’d have the energy to do life!

My routine takes a few minutes and I’m sleeping soundly. (After being in the 2 hour a night club, insomnia stinks!)

I am confident that you will be sleeping again!

Getting in God’s Word is a day changer and when you add in outside time with getting in steps. It makes a huge difference.

This two habits have been instrumental in my health journey and I wanted to share a new challenge for this month called Walk and Word.

This challenge will last the month of May or 31 days!

Grow in faith and get in shape.

Both activities are importer and yet so many women and moms aren’t able to get either in.

God’s word is a powerful tool to help you traverse this life.

Walking helps you keep up with the physical demands of life. God cares about how you’re taking care of your body!

I don’t know why I’m so tired this week but it’s been a busy week here!

Baseball, Birth, Babies, lots of driving kids to things, and this weekend basketball all 3 days.

What was the highlight of your week?

Has your child ever asked for something and you told them they have to learn more about it or maybe they just have to wait?

Your intention is to get what they want eventually, but they need to understand the concept of waiting.

Well this happened on Saturday. I picked up 12 chicks and they had turkeys pullets. My son wanted 2 of them and I told him to learn about them and we could come back and get them.

Today was the day and we went back and they had sold out of all their birds.

It was a day of great disappointment for my son and he said we should have got them on Saturday.

Oops…

He was upset with me and how we should have gotten them on Saturday.

It made me feel really bad.

As I drove back home the 45 minutes, I thought how much I’m like my son sometimes with God.

Ugh… the way my son made me feel is how I imagine God feels when I act just like my son. Yikes.

Disappointed because of expectations and when it doesn’t happen, I get mad and grumpy.

If you would have only done this or that.

Sometimes the answer isn’t no to what we request, it’s just wait. Maybe we need to learn and grow more.

While I don’t know why hard times happen, at some point we all go through struggles.

God does promise to walk with us.

He won’t leave us or forsake us.

Some of the biggest growth and strongest faith comes from walking through tough times.

Walk through this time with God. He will see you through!

they will walk and not be faint.

Grasp onto God.

He has you.

Healer. Protector. A refuge. Redeemer.

There is hope in Him.

You just have to seek Him out and cling tightly!
