We like to hear others’ stories.
When we hear what others struggled with in life, it gives us the extra push to try and overcome what we struggle with.
It’s the same with trust. We might not feel like we trust God in great ways now, but when we read the stories from the Bible, we get the inspiration to keep trying.
Many of the people in the Bible were just like us. They wanted to trust, but their human flesh got in the way.
God might have asked them to step out of their comfort zone, they took the first step and then were overcome with fear and doubt.

God told Sarah that she was going to become a mom within the next year. The problem was Sarah was well past the child-bearing years. She laughed at the
Martha told Jesus that if He had made it back to Bethany a few days earlier, Lazarus wouldn’t have died. She couldn’t wrap her head around Jesus bringing Him back to life.
She knew in her heart, Jesus was the Messiah, but she didn’t think He could fix her situation.
Aren’t we the same way?
(John 11:21-27, NLT),
21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.22 But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”
23 Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.”
25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life.[a] Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.”
Trusting God When Our Eyes See Differently

Abraham trusted God as he moved from his homeland. Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac.
Because of Abraham’s trust, God blessed him.
Noah began building an ark 120 years before he needed to. Noah had never even seen rain, but yet, he trusted in God. When his neighbors ridiculed and made him the brunt of jokes, Noah’s trust never wavered.
Joseph knew God was with him through his journey in slavery, in his dealing with Pharoah’s wife, and in prison. God was with him and Joseph trusted God.

I could fill this page and many others with the stories of those who trusted in God.
They might have gotten it wrong a few times, but what they realized is that life goes so much better when they trusted the Creator.
It doesn’t mean life will be easy, but life is less stressful and more manageable when we accept Who holds us.
