Inside: God wants to change your life, but He’s not going to just change it for you. Say “yes” to Jesus, and begin your transformation! He will help you and give you strength!

When I say the word transformation, what do you think about it?
In my opinion, most likely, it’s a butterfly.
That seems to be the typical visual when this word appears.
At its simplest, the caterpillar gets into the chrysalis and after a short time period, it becomes a beautiful butterfly.
While this is true, I wanted to dig a little deeper into what actually happens. I’m a researcher at heart, and sometimes simple isn’t enough meat for me.
So here’s what I have learned so that I can then try and weave this into our journey of health and wellness with God.
Here’s the bottom truth: God has placed all the necessary components within the caterpillar to get it to its purpose of becoming that butterfly.
Before the caterpillar is ready for the transformation, it needs to grow and eat and eat and eat.
It takes calories to metamorphosis.
How the caterpillar knows when to start is another one of God’s secrets.
We need to keep in mind that the caterpillar can become prey during its life as a caterpillar and then never make it to its end goal.
Before we move on, let’s define the word transformation!
What is Transformation?
According to Merriam-Webster, transformation/ transforming is 1: an act, process, or instance of transforming or being transformed.
The difference between this word and the word change is that change is initial, but the transformation is a lifestyle makeover, where your beliefs have been affected too.
In the Bible, we can see this example of the Israelites when they left Egypt.
The Israelites no longer lived in Egypt while they were traveling through the wilderness (change).
They complained and whined because they felt like they still wanted to live in Egypt even though they didn’t like the cruel punishment of Pharaoh.
They spent 40 years in the wilderness because the Israelites did not obey God while they were in the wilderness; therefore, God did not lead them straight into the land He had promised them.
If they would have stopped their grumbling and complaining and asked for God’s help, they might have shortened that.
It was only when they no longer looked back but kept looking forward that their transformation happened.
How about you, friend?
Are you spending most of your time looking at your past?
No Longer Looking Back
As Christians, we know that complete transformation won’t happen until we are in Heaven when we will be perfected in the ultimate transformation, but the beginning of it happens when we say yes to Jesus.
Say Yes To Jesus
We have to choose to accept Christ into our hearts and say “yes” so that Jesus can begin the transformation.
Because the truth is: God gave us free will. He isn’t going to force us to be something we aren’t.
Additionally, when we choose to begin this process, it won’t be easy. Actually, it will be hard! We will be pressured and pressed on all sides.
However, we have God to give us strength and help us.
Back to the butterfly… Once the caterpillar has eaten and once it’s full, it goes into the chrysalis. I wonder if it feels the pressure on all sides?
When the chrysalis finally opens, the butterfly is the most vulnerable because its wings are wrinkled and wet, so it needs to wait until they unfold and dry out.
Here’s a nugget of wisdom: When you decide to be different from the rest of the world, you will be vulnerable.
However, God will be with you, and you can trust that.
Philippians 4:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 For I can do everything through Christ,[a] who gives me strength.
Are You Ready to Say Yes to Jesus?
That’s the biggest question you need to ask yourself: Do you want to be different?
If the answer is yes, then God can begin working within you.
He’s been searching for those who are ready to be set apart because He wants us to choose Him and His ways.
2 Chronicles 16:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.
We can rise above all the issues in our life when we know God is with us and for us. Choosing that He is working it all out for our good and knowing that He is transforming us makes all the difference!

Why Your Diet Matters as a Christian
Amen. We are transforming each moment to be closer to Him.
Loved “When you decide to be different from the rest of the world, you will be vulnerable. However, God will be with you, and you can trust that God will be with you.”
Good reminder of the reality that the world will not be happy with our transformation, but we are not seeking the world’s approval!
I love knowing that every day, every step, brings transformation designed to glorify God.
Transformation is not an easy process. I like how you say it, “when we choose to begin this process, it won’t be easy. Actually, it will be hard! We will be pressured and pressed on all sides.” To transform by God’s grace we must take steps of faith. They are hard, but once taken, the radical change happens. I’m right there in that transforming stage…so I know how had it is!
Amen Sister transformation is so very important and something we also need to focus on daily just as Romans 12:2 says – 2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. God Bless
I agree that if we seek transformation, saying yes needs to be a daily process, not a one time thing. Appreciate your comment that explains the difference and distinction between change and transformation: “The difference between this word and the word change is that change is initial, but transformation is a lifestyle makeover, where your beliefs have been effected too.”
Yes Jesus! Thy will be done, not mine. Thanks for reminding me.
